Hi all,
So after watching TotalBiscuits's 'WTF is' of Black Ops 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNLbJKs1jmI),
I noticed that the game is telling him he has Moderate NAT.
Correct me if i'm wrong but the only reason NAT would affect network connectivity is if a client was trying to connect to YOU, i.e. a Peer-2-Peer connection like xbox live, psn, infinity ward's games.
So if the client is not hosting the game (P2P) in black ops 2 and is using dedicated servers then why does it even show his nat state (except that this game was most likely ported from console(360))?
I will definitely NOT be buying the game if it is really running P2P connections and not dedicated servers.
NAT problems are terribly difficult to get rid of: find the ports the blocked application is using, ensuring network is using static ips and that router is forwarding them correctly etc.
Also how is the game? Black Ops 1 was awful on launch but got really good through a couple months of patches, is this launch any smoother?
In terms of gameplay what is it like? Better or worse than Blops1?
Thanks,
Mike
